How It Works
Select your cut below and place your deposit. Deposits will be applied toward your final price. Final price is determined by price per pound × processing weight, with most animals processing between 600–700 lbs at $8.50–$10.00/lb.

Our Beef
Place your deposit on a quarter beef. Approximately 90–110 lbs of take-home beef. Includes cuts from both the front and hind quarters. Perfect for a small family or first-time buyer. Recommended freezer space: 4–5 cubic feet.
Place your deposit on a half beef. Approximately 175–220 lbs of take-home beef. One full side of the animal. You'll get a variety of steaks, roasts, ribs, and ground beef. Recommended freezer space: 8–10 cubic feet.
Place your deposit on a full beef. Approximately 350–440 lbs of take home beef - the entire animal! Best value per pound and Coastside Cattle Co. covers $500 butcher fees. Recommended freezer space: 16–20 cubic feet.

We offer sales of full, half, or quartered beef. Delivery is available for a fee. Price determined on location.

Final pricing is based on hanging weight. Hanging weight means the weight of the animal after harvest, before processing and packaging. Final price = hanging weight × price per pound.

Yes, you can customize your cuts directly with the butcher. I work with a local butcher here in Half Moon Bay. If you prefer a different facility within a reasonable distance, transport can be arranged for an additional fee.

If you buy the Whole Beef option, I will cover the butcher costs! If quarter or half beef is purchased you will be responsible for butcher fees.

Reserving means you've placed a deposit to hold your beef. Once it's been cut and wrapped you'll pay the remaining balance based on final hanging weight.

This is up to you ! Once you have decided, I will relay the information to the butcher for you. If you wish to be in contact with the butcher instead, you may do so.

Our cattle have space to roam, fresh coastal air, and open pastures year round. We believe that raising low stress animals, with strong genetics, and proper care produces better beef. You can taste the difference.
Coastside Cattle Co. wants to reconnect people to where their food comes from. In a world where meat comes wrapped in plastic with no story, our customers to know exactly who raised their cattle and how they were cared for.
